WHAT IS HMS (Happimoney Monetary System)

"Monetary Reform is the most important issue, but politicians worldwide won't talk about it."
~ David Icke

"We have had 97 major banking crashes over the last 25 years, and we have had 178 monetary crashes over that same time period."
~ Bernard Lietaer, Belgian currenty expert writing in bigthink

The Happimoney Monetary System is, by definition, a monetary system that adheres to the philosophy of "happi"ism - the notion that government's greatest good is to minimize unhappierness (government-induced unhappiness) of the greatest number, particularly of the MOO - the Minority-Of-One and Microeconomy-Of-One. For more, see
"happi" with an "i"

An HMS is a national monetary system that competes with the existing system and acts as a backup if the existing system fails.

"Happi"money is brand new money created out of thin air not by the banking system but by an independent fourth branch of government usually called the HED - the Hereditors Reserve as opposed to the FED - the Federal Reserve in the US.

The Hereditors Reserve creates brand new "happi"money out of thin air. It distributes it equally to  all the nation's "hereditors" - legal citizens who have been upgraded to citizen-shareholder-representatives.

As "happi"money is brand new money, note that it is "distributed", not "redistributed".  It is a permanent increase in the nation's money supply.

"Happi"money is fully or partially backed by the net asset value of a nation's "widget wealth" - physical things that can be accumulated and exchanged

"Happi"money is legal tender only in its country of origin. It may be used to settle accounts with government.

The HMS is a system for money creation, not money lending. Money lending is a separate activity.

It is not about  Monetary Reform (MR) in the sense of reforming existing national systems.  Nor is it about reforming the many Alternative Currencies in the world - click here to see some of the significant ones.

The HMS is owned by each nation's citizens (as upgraded by each nation).

All newly created "happi"money is distributed equally to all such citizens. Hence the slogan "HappiMoney For All"

"Happi"money is designated as "happi"money because it is based on the philosophy of "happi"ism - the notion that government's greatest good is to minimize government-induced unhappiness, especially of the MOO - the Minority-Of-One. For more, click here.

HMS is managed by a fourth arm of government, namely the HED - the Hereditors Reserve, where "hereditors" are citizens who have been upgraded to citizen-shareholder-representatives.

The HMS's money supply is increased at a fixed annual rate decided by officials of each nation's HED.

The money supply is permanent: once created, it stays created.

Here are some of its benefits:

It is a back-up for today's monetary system. They both create legal tender.  So the  world will not fall apart if too-big-to-fail banks do fail.

HappiMoney is not about reforming the existing national monetary system. It is about creating a new system that acts as a backup to the existing system. Whoever heard of a system as complex as the existing monetary system without a backup?

This article describes the Happimoney Monetary System (HMS) in HappiOpia, the first nation to adopt Happimoney.

HappiOpia is a nation of many monetary systems, with equivalents of the Swiss WIR system, New York's Ithaca Hours, BerkShares and so on. These alternative currencies are not legal tender nationally; only locally.

The existing Rothschild system remains in place except that it works on a Full Reserve basis. It retains the right to create new money on a non-exclusive basis.

1. A fourth branch of government must be created to manage the new Happimoney Monetary System (HMS).

HMS is separate from, and in addition to, today's existing system. If today's too-big-to-fail system does fail - as it has in the past - HMS acts as an instant backup. (Whoever heard of a system like the existing monetary system without a backup?).

2. Lawmakers must legislate "happimoney" into existence as legal tender for government transactions.

3. The HMS system includes the creation of new money - happiMoney - that is distributed equally to all of each nation's "hereditors" (citizen-shareholder-representatives - that's us).

4. Happimoney, like today's unhappimoney, is brand new money that is also  created out of thin air at virtually no cost.
But it is distributed equally to All.
Every month. For Life.
There is no valid reason to distribute it any other way.

5. In happiOpia, the first nation to adopt Happimoney For All, the fourth branch of government is called the HED (Hereditors Reserve). It creates new Happimoney  every month under great security, and distributes it equally to all citizen-shareholders - that's us. We are called "hereditors".

The HED is in contrast to the US FED - the Federal Reserve - a private entity that creates today's "unhappi"money out of thin air and "lends" it to government and charges the government interest on it. Hence a government debt that is constantly going through the roof.

6. Fractional Reserve Banking is banned. All bank loans must be fully backed by deposits or shareholder capital.

7. Interest rates are set by the markets not by humans.

8. Happimoney is backed by the net asset value of a nation's widgets (physical wealth).

If a nation's economy is growing by 2% and the Happimoney dividend is also increased by 2% per year, it will take 36 years for the money supply to double. There may be little or no inflation (depending on the velocity and how many people stuff their piggy banks with money).

If the Happimoney dividend is increased at a rate of 4% per year, it will take 18 years for the money supply to double. So there may be inflation of say 2% per year (again depending on velocity).

To the extent that Happimoney is increased at a rate higher than economic growth, consumers will be tempted to spend now rather than later.

Another document about HMS (Happimoney Monetary System) will be added to this website shortly.

In 2015 China set up a yuan-based bank - the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) - to compete directly with the current USD-based system.

The US has declined to join this new bank, but many other countries have joined including the UK, Germany, France, Italy and others.

This illustrates that a new stand-alone system can be implemented, and indeed has been implemented.

There is no reason why a new, people-oriented Happimoney Monetary System (HMS) cannot also be created and implemented.

Not instead of the existing too-big-to-fail bank-dominated system but in addition to it. Whoever heard of a system as complex as today's bank-dominated monetary system without a back-up?

To elaborate.

At present, The Bankers are legally entitled to create new money out of thin air, subject to minimal "reserve" requirements.

It costs them virtually nothing to do so - just a few clicks on their computers and there's new thin-air money in existence.  "Unhappi"money, to be sure.

Actually, it's in the form of loans to borrowers, on which interest is payable.  So the banks get interest income on money they don't have.

Moreover, they discriminate in their levels of fees and charges. The rich pay less. We-the-MOOs pay more.

(The MOO is us. We are all a Minority-Of-One and/or a Microeconomy-Of-One).

No wonder the bankers and their already-rich friends get richer quicker than the rest of us.

TODAY'S MONETARY SYSTEM REPRESENTS WHAT MUST BE THE ULTIMATE FORM OF UNEARNED INCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
